Official emergency services
NagarPulse is not a government agency and does not dispatch police, fire, ambulance, or other official emergency responders. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number or authorised services before or in addition to using the app.
Emergency alerts
The emergency feature notifies opted-in volunteers near your location. When using it, you agree that:
- You will use emergency alerts only for genuine situations where community assistance may help.
- You will provide accurate location data and a truthful description of the situation.
- You understand that volunteers are private individuals, not trained first responders, and response is not guaranteed.
- False, test, or malicious alerts may result in account suspension and reporting to authorities where required.
Volunteer mode
Volunteers choose to receive alerts within a radius they configure. To protect all parties:
- Volunteer phone numbers and precise home locations are not published on the public website.
- Volunteers may accept, decline, or mark alerts without penalty; participation is voluntary.
- Volunteers should use independent judgment, meet in safe locations where appropriate, and defer to official services for life-threatening emergencies.
- Volunteers must not exploit alert information for harassment, solicitation, or unrelated purposes.
Civic reporting and public content
Reports may appear on public maps and track pages. For your safety and others':
- Do not post content that reveals your exact home address or another person's private details without consent.
- Do not incite violence, vigilantism, or confrontation with individuals named in a report.
- Use accurate category labels, especially for sensitive or high-risk topics.
- Understand that public reports may be indexed, shared, or referenced by third parties.
RouteBuddy
Commute matching carries additional personal safety considerations. Please read our RouteBuddy safety.
Moderation and sensitive media
We may take action to reduce harm, including:
- Blurring, withholding, or removing graphic, exploitative, or sensitive media pending review.
- Restricting accounts that submit abusive, fraudulent, or repeatedly false content.
- Cooperating with lawful requests relating to serious safety incidents.
